Arc Online are specialist in the Rail Industry. They required a Content Managment System for National Rail Enquiries
The main requirements were -
The National Rail Enquiries staff now have an information intranet which is easy to navigate and search. Beforehand, staff had a range of ten manuals to search through whilt a customer may be waiting on the phone for an answer to their enquiry.
Depending on what type of user logs in i,e, (Train Operating Company, Travel Agent ) different menus/ content and menu option can be displayed
Management can also login in as administrators and modify specified areas of content.
Whilst the system is being user managment reports are generated indication the most popular area of the site. Users can also leave feedback about specific area of content in they believe it is incorrect or could be presented better.
Using the latest AJAX technology, users can get very quickly to the information they require.
A full administration area also exists to change/customise any of the content of the site.
